General Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to the services, programs, products, and facilities offered by Aura Aerial Art Centre (“Aura,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By making a booking, purchasing a package, registering for a program, or participating in an Aura activity, you agree to follow the applicable studio policies and instructions provided by our team.

Additional terms may apply to specific workshops, teacher training programs, private events, rentals, or promotional offers. Any additional terms will be communicated as applicable.

Class Bookings & Reservations

All participants must reserve a place in a class before attending. Purchasing a package does not automatically reserve a place in any class.

• Class reservations are made through our online booking system, Mindbody.
• Classes may be booked up to 14 days in advance.
• Bookings are subject to available spaces and any applicable class prerequisites.
• A booking is confirmed when it appears in your account and you receive the applicable booking confirmation.
• Participants should arrive on time and follow instructor directions throughout the class.

Class Packages & Expiration

Class packages are valid only for their stated validity periods. The validity period begins on the date of purchase unless the specific offer expressly states otherwise.

Classes must be attended before the package expiration date. Reserving a class that takes place after the expiration date does not extend the package.

Unlimited memberships, children's packages, promotional passes, gift cards, and special event offers may have different validity periods or conditions. Please review the terms shown at the time of purchase.

New Student Offers

New student introductory packages are intended for eligible first-time customers and may be purchased only once per person.

A new student may purchase one single class to try our studio before deciding whether to purchase an introductory package.

If you wish to purchase a new student package after attending your trial class, you must complete the purchase in the studio immediately after that class. The introductory package cannot be purchased online at a later date following the trial.

Introductory packages are subject to their stated expiration dates and all applicable booking and cancellation policies.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We require a minimum of 6 hours’ notice to cancel a class reservation.

Exceptions may be considered in limited circumstances at Aura’s discretion. Supporting documentation may be requested where relevant.

Package Extensions & Credit Rollover

Package expiration dates are not routinely extended. Requests for exceptions are reviewed individually and may require supporting documentation.

Where eligible, a customer may purchase a new regular package of at least five classes and request that unused or expired class credits be rolled into the new package.

Approved rollover credits are added manually and follow the expiration date of the newly purchased package.

Rollover is not automatic and is subject to confirmation by Aura. Single-class purchases and introductory packages do not independently qualify as the new package required for this rollover option.

Refunds & Store Credit

Purchases and refund requests are subject to the applicable package, program, or product conditions and any rights provided by law.

• Expired class packages are not ordinarily eligible for a refund.
• Approved online refunds may be subject to a $5 payment-processing fee, where permitted by applicable law.
• Requests for refunds or exceptions based on medical circumstances may require supporting medical documentation.
• Where store credit is issued, its applicable conditions will be communicated to the customer.
• Workshop, private event, rental, teacher training, and merchandise purchases may be subject to separate refund conditions.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any refund, cancellation, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Class Changes & Minimum Attendance

Aura may adjust an instructor, class format, schedule, or location when reasonably necessary.

Our regular group classes generally require a minimum of three registered participants to run as scheduled.

If attendance is below the minimum, Aura may shorten or cancel the class. Where a class is cancelled by Aura, affected participants will be contacted and offered an appropriate booking adjustment or credit arrangement.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate changes as early as possible.

Participant Health & Safety

Aerial arts, yoga, fitness, dance, and related activities involve physical exertion and inherent risks, including the possibility of injury.

Participants are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information requested for safe participation and for informing the instructor of any injury, physical limitation, or health concern that may affect their ability to participate safely.

• Follow all instructor directions and posted studio safety rules.
• Do not attempt skills or movements beyond your current ability or without appropriate supervision.
• Stop the activity and inform your instructor if you experience pain, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms.
• Do not use aerial equipment without authorization.
• Do not attend or participate while impaired by alcohol, recreational drugs, or any other substance that affects safe participation.

Aura may restrict participation in an activity where reasonably necessary to address an identified safety concern.

Participation may also be subject to a separate waiver, informed consent form, or program-specific safety requirements.

Studio Dress Code & Equipment

To help maintain a safe and comfortable training environment, participants must follow the dress code applicable to their class.

Please bring water and follow any additional class-specific clothing or equipment instructions provided by your instructor.

Children & Minors

Our Kids Aerial Hammock classes are designed for children aged 6–10.

Participants aged 11–13 may be considered for an appropriate adult beginner class following a trial class or private assessment, subject to Aura’s approval.

A parent or legal guardian must complete any required registration, consent, and waiver documents for a minor participant.

Parents and guardians are responsible for providing accurate emergency contact information and informing Aura of relevant safety considerations.

Age eligibility and participation arrangements may differ for private events, workshops, and special programs.

Open Practice & Studio Rentals

Open Practice is intended for eligible participants who have sufficient training and experience to practise their approved skills safely and independently.

Open Practice is not a substitute for a supervised instructional class. Participants must remain within their training level and follow all applicable equipment and studio safety rules.

Rental access, equipment use, instructor requirements, permitted activities, insurance, and booking conditions may vary depending on the type of rental.

Rental customers must comply with the terms confirmed for their individual booking.

Private Classes, Parties & Group Events

Private classes, birthday parties, corporate team-building sessions, and other group events are subject to availability and advance confirmation.

Pricing may depend on group size, session duration, activity type, equipment requirements, and additional services requested.

A group booking is confirmed only after Aura has accepted the booking and any required payment or deposit has been received.

The organizer is responsible for communicating applicable arrival instructions, dress code requirements, and participation conditions to their guests.

Cancellation, rescheduling, deposit, and refund conditions for private events will be provided as part of the individual booking arrangement.

Workshops & Teacher Training Programs

Workshops, specialty courses, and teacher training programs may have separate registration requirements, prerequisites, attendance expectations, assessment criteria, payment schedules, and cancellation terms.

Participants are responsible for reviewing the applicable program information before registering.

Completion of a teacher training program and the issuance of any certificate are subject to the requirements specified for that particular program.

Registration or payment alone does not guarantee successful completion or certification.

Any program-specific terms communicated at registration will apply in addition to these general Terms & Conditions.

Aura Activewear & Merchandise

Product descriptions, prices, colours, sizes, and availability are subject to change.

Aura Activewear purchases are currently available for studio pickup only. Shipping and delivery are not offered at this time.

Customers should confirm product availability, colour, size, quantity, payment arrangements, and pickup details with our team before completing a purchase.

Any applicable exchange or refund conditions will be communicated at the time of purchase, subject to mandatory consumer rights.

Photography & Recording

Participants must respect the privacy and personal space of others when taking photographs or recording videos in the studio.

Do not photograph or record another participant without their permission.

Photography or recording may be restricted during certain classes, workshops, teacher training sessions, or private events.

Aura’s use of identifiable participant photographs and videos is addressed in our Privacy Policy and any applicable photography consent.

Personal Belongings & Studio Conduct

Please treat fellow participants, instructors, staff, and studio facilities with courtesy and respect.

Participants are responsible for keeping their personal belongings secure and following studio instructions concerning storage and equipment use.

Harassment, threatening behaviour, intentional damage, or repeated disregard of safety instructions may result in removal from an activity or restriction of studio access, subject to applicable law.

Website Information & External Services

We aim to keep our website, schedules, prices, and program descriptions accurate. However, information may occasionally require correction or updating.

Our website may link to third-party platforms, including Mindbody and social media services. Your use of those platforms may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Please contact Aura if you need clarification about a price, booking, program requirement, or website description.

Changes to These Terms

Aura may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in studio operations, services, or applicable requirements.

Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Changes to an existing purchase or confirmed booking will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement and legal requirements.
